Sex World (1977)
Westworld (1973), written and directed by Michael Crichton, imagined a future amusement park where guests could live out Old West adventure fantasies. The recreated historical settings were populated by robots whom guests could gun down at will. Of course it all goes horribly, horribly wrong.
Westworld was followed by a crappy sequel, Futureworld, and a crappy TV series, Beyond Westworld. Naturally enough, the porn biz got into the game with Sex World, a 1977 knockoff which imagined a future resort where guests could live out their sexual fantasies.
Sadly, there are no sex robots in Sex World. But the resort’s staff wear white lab coats and consult a supercomputer to determine what kind of sexual experience each guest needs to overcome their hang-ups. Because it’s the future!
The cast includes many big-name pornstars of the 70s: Amber Hunt, Annette Haven, Desiree West, Kay Parker, Leslie Bovee, Sharon Thorpe and John Leslie. The director was Anthony Spinelli.
