Vivid plans to air a “behind the scenes” live streaming webcast from the set of Batman XXX: A Porn Parody next week. The webcast will run in three-hour blocks on April 1, April 2 and April 3. It will be available exclusively to Vivid.com members.
This announcement clears up some of the mystery behind the Batman XXX project. Director Axel Braun posted a teaser trailer on YouTube in January, and trade press stories implied that they had shot the film that month. Nick Manning and Kris Slater were promoted as playing Batman and Robin.
Now it sounds like that version was abandoned for some reason. Articles about the upcoming “behind the scenes” webcast list Dale DaBone and James Deen playing Batman and Robin. The 2.0 cast also includes Evan Stone, Randy Spears, Lexi Belle, Tori Black, Alexis Texas, Andy San Dimas and Kimberly Kane.
The January press reports also hyped a non-sex cameo by guitarist Dave Navarro. There’s no word if he’ll still be in the April-shot version.
The Vivid press release also says that Batman XXX will be “the first of four Axel Braun parodies to be distributed by Vivid”. The second will likely be Grease XXX, for which Braun held a public casting call in early March.
