Every Wednesday, PornParody.com surveys projects in the pipeline. This week, the battle of the Jersey Shore porn parodies is heating up! Two different parodies will be released this month, and now the filmmakers are bickering over who thought up the idea first.
Jersey Shore XXX, directed by and starring Taryn Thomas, is shooting for a February 23 release date. Check out the behind the scenes gallery and the trailer at YouTube. And check back here for pre-order info.
The PopPorn version was originally titled Not Jersey Shore: Jersey Whores and slated for April release. Then boom, they changed the title to The Official Jersey Shore Parody and pushed the release date up to February 23 (according to TLA) or February 16 (according to PopPorn). Not Really the Dukes of Hazzard from Vouyer Media will be released Tuesday, February 23, and is available now for pre-order.
Adam & Eve will release Rawhide 2: Dirty Deeds on February 23. It’s the sequel to their 2003 western parody Rawhide.
Hustler plans to drop This Ain’t Intervention XXX on February 16, then This Ain’t Charmed XXX on March 2.
Anarchy is finishing up Cougar Town XXX for March 2 release.
New Sensations announced ambitious porn parody plans for 2010. They’re shooting The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody and Reno 911: A XXX Parody this month, so look for those around May. They’re also planning porn parodies of Harry Potter, The Golden Girls, The Breakfast Club, 24, This is Spinal Tap, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost in the near future.
New Sensations has released box cover art for Tru: A XXX Parody based on Tru Blood. Watch this space for a release date and pre-order information.
New Sensations and Adam & Eve both announced plans to make XXX parodies of The A-Team, presumably timed for release when the mainstream summer blockbuster adaptation of The A-Team hits theaters. Pornographers aren’t usually known for thinking that far ahead, so let’s give them a hand.
Adam & Eve also plans a Home Improvement porn parody sometime soon.
Axel Braun just wrapped production on This Ain’t Star Trek XXX 2 for Hustler, which is tentatively scheduled for April 6 release. Braun is also working on Batman XXX: A Porn Parody based on the 1960s TV show; Dave Navarro has a (non-sex) cameo. And Hustler just announced that Braun will shoot This Ain’t Avatar XXX in March.
We’re still waiting on Venom’s I’m Dreaming of Genie 2, originally slated for January 27 release. It’s the sequel to last year’s I’m Dreaming Of Genie.
X-Play announced a public casting call for Not Charlie’s Angels XXX a couple weeks ago. Not sure when they plan to shoot or release it. (Of course, there have been many Charlie’s Angels porn parodies in the past.)
Hustler recently announced an ambitious porn parody lineup for 2010 and 2011, including knockoffs of CSI, Glee, The Hills, The Soup, Curb Your Enthusiasm and I Dream of Jeannie.
Parody projects rumored last year — possibly still in the works, possibly abandoned — include Laverne & Shirley, MacGuyver, TJ Hooker, Fantasy Island, Superbad, Harold and Kumar, The Godfather and Grease.
