Tom Wolfe’s excellent novel Bonfire of the Vanities was made into an unbelievably terrible movie by Brian de Palma.
Fortunately, porn director William Black handled the material far more gracefully in Bonfire of the Panties. Tagline: “Stock Market Dives. Raven Goes Down”.
